| CVE-2016-4489 | 1 Gnu | 1 Libiberty | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| Integer overflow in the gnu_special function in libiberty allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation fault and crash) via a crafted binary, related to the "demangling of virtual tables." | ||||
| CVE-2017-13090 | 3 Debian, Gnu, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Wget, Enterprise Linux | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The retr.c:fd_read_body() function is called when processing OK responses. When the response is sent chunked in wget before 1.19.2, the chunk parser uses strtol() to read each chunk's length, but doesn't check that the chunk length is a non-negative number. The code then tries to read the chunk in pieces of 8192 bytes by using the MIN() macro, but ends up passing the negative chunk length to retr.c:fd_read(). As fd_read() takes an int argument, the high 32 bits of the chunk length are discarded, leaving fd_read() with a completely attacker controlled length argument. The attacker can corrupt malloc metadata after the allocated buffer. | ||||
| CVE-2018-1000156 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 1 more | 14 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Patch and 11 more | 2025-04-14 | N/A |
| GNU Patch version 2.7.6 contains an input validation vulnerability when processing patch files, specifically the EDITOR_PROGRAM invocation (using ed) can result in code execution. This attack appear to be exploitable via a patch file processed via the patch utility. This is similar to FreeBSD's CVE-2015-1418 however although they share a common ancestry the code bases have diverged over time. | ||||
| CVE-2014-3466 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 2 Gnutls, Enterprise Linux | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| Buffer overflow in the read_server_hello function in lib/gnutls_handshake.c in GnuTLS before 3.1.25, 3.2.x before 3.2.15, and 3.3.x before 3.3.4 allows remote servers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a long session id in a ServerHello message. | ||||
| CVE-2014-8121 | 4 Canonical, Gnu, Redhat and 1 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Glibc, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| DB_LOOKUP in nss_files/files-XXX.c in the Name Service Switch (NSS) in GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) 2.21 and earlier does not properly check if a file is open, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) by performing a look-up on a database while iterating over it, which triggers the file pointer to be reset. | ||||
| CVE-2015-5277 | 3 Canonical, Gnu, Redhat | 8 Ubuntu Linux, Glibc, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| The get_contents function in nss_files/files-XXX.c in the Name Service Switch (NSS) in GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) before 2.20 might allow local users to cause a denial of service (heap corruption) or gain privileges via a long line in the NSS files database. | ||||
| CVE-2014-8485 | 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Binutils and 1 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| The setup_group function in bfd/elf.c in libbfd in GNU binutils 2.24 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via crafted section group headers in an ELF file. | ||||
| CVE-2015-1781 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 2 more | 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Glibc and 5 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| Buffer overflow in the gethostbyname_r and other unspecified NSS functions in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) before 2.22 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or execute arbitrary code via a crafted DNS response, which triggers a call with a misaligned buffer. | ||||
| CVE-2016-6323 | 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Opensuse | 3 Fedora, Glibc, Opensuse | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| The makecontext function in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) before 2.25 creates execution contexts incompatible with the unwinder on ARM EABI (32-bit) platforms, which might allow context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (hang), as demonstrated by applications compiled using gccgo, related to backtrace generation. | ||||
| CVE-2016-6263 | 1 Gnu | 1 Libidn | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| The stringprep_utf8_nfkc_normalize function in lib/nfkc.c in libidn before 1.33 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and crash) via crafted UTF-8 data. | ||||
| CVE-2014-5119 | 3 Debian, Gnu, Redhat | 5 Debian Linux, Glibc, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| Off-by-one error in the __gconv_translit_find function in gconv_trans.c in GNU C Library (aka glibc) allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or execute arbitrary code via vectors related to the CHARSET environment variable and gconv transliteration modules. | ||||

| Stack-based buffer overflow in the getaddrinfo function in sysdeps/posix/getaddrinfo.c in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via vectors involving hostent conversion. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2013-4458. | ||||
| CVE-2012-6656 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Gnu | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Glibc | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| iconvdata/ibm930.c in GNU C Library (aka glibc) before 2.16 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via a multibyte character value of "0xffff" to the iconv function when converting IBM930 encoded data to UTF-8. | ||||
| CVE-2016-1234 | 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Opensuse | 4 Fedora, Glibc, Leap and 1 more | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
