| CVE-2025-24934 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-04-24 | 5.4 Medium |
| Software which sets SO_REUSEPORT_LB on a socket and then connects it to a host will not directly observe any problems. However, due to its membership in a load-balancing group, that socket will receive packets originating from any host. This breaks the contract of the connect(2) and implied connect via sendto(2), and may leave the application vulnerable to spoofing attacks. The kernel failed to check the connection state of sockets when adding them to load-balancing groups. Furthermore, when looking up the destination socket for an incoming packet, the kernel will match a socket belonging to a load-balancing group even if it is connected, in violation of the contract that connected socketsĀ are only supposed to receive packets originating from the connected host. | ||||
| CVE-2026-5398 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | 8.4 High |
| The implementation of TIOCNOTTY failed to clear a back-pointer from the structure representing the controlling terminal to the calling process' session. If the invoking process then exits, the terminal structure may end up containing a pointer to freed memory. A malicious process can abuse the dangling pointer to grant itself root privileges. | ||||
| CVE-2006-4516 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| Integer signedness error in FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE allows local users to cause a denial of service (memory corruption and kernel panic) via a PT_LWPINFO ptrace command with a large negative data value that satisfies a signed maximum value check but is used in an unsigned copyout function call. | ||||
| CVE-2007-0229 | 2 Apple, Freebsd | 3 Mac Os X, Mac Os X Server, Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| Integer overflow in the ffs_mountfs function in Mac OS X 10.4.8 and FreeBSD 6.1 allows local users to cause a denial of service (panic) and possibly gain privileges via a crafted DMG image that causes "allocation of a negative size buffer" leading to a heap-based buffer overflow, a related issue to CVE-2006-5679. NOTE: a third party states that this issue does not cross privilege boundaries in FreeBSD because only root may mount a filesystem. | ||||
| CVE-2007-3722 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| The 4BSD process scheduler in the FreeBSD kernel performs scheduling based on CPU billing gathered from periodic process sampling ticks, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) by performing voluntary nanosecond sleeps that result in the process not being active during a clock interrupt, as described in "Secretly Monopolizing the CPU Without Superuser Privileges." | ||||
| CVE-2008-4247 | 3 Freebsd, Netbsd, Openbsd | 3 Freebsd, Netbsd, Openbsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| ftpd in OpenBSD 4.3, FreeBSD 7.0, NetBSD 4.0, Solaris, and possibly other operating systems interprets long commands from an FTP client as multiple commands, which allows remote attackers to conduct cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks and execute arbitrary FTP commands via a long ftp:// URI that leverages an existing session from the FTP client implementation in a web browser. | ||||
| CVE-2009-0601 | 6 Apple, Freebsd, Linux and 3 more | 6 Mac Os X, Freebsd, Linux Kernel and 3 more | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| Format string vulnerability in Wireshark 0.99.8 through 1.0.5 on non-Windows platforms allows local users to cause a denial of service (application crash) via format string specifiers in the HOME environment variable. | ||||
| CVE-2006-5550 | 2 Freebsd, Openbsd | 2 Freebsd, Openbsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| The kernel in FreeBSD 6.1 and OpenBSD 4.0 allows local users to cause a denial of service via unspecified vectors involving certain ioctl requests to /dev/crypto. | ||||
| CVE-2006-5824 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| Integer overflow in the ffs_rdextattr function in FreeBSD 6.1 allows local users to cause a denial of service (kernel panic) and trigger a heap-based buffer overflow via a crafted UFS filesystem, a different vulnerability than CVE-2006-5679. NOTE: a third party states that this issue does not cross privilege boundaries in FreeBSD because only root may mount a filesystem. | ||||
| CVE-2009-3048 | 4 Conectiva, Freebsd, Opera and 1 more | 4 Linux, Freebsd, Opera Browser and 1 more | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| Opera before 10.00 on Linux, Solaris, and FreeBSD does not properly implement the "INPUT TYPE=file" functionality, which allows remote attackers to trick a user into uploading an unintended file via vectors involving a "dropped file." | ||||
| CVE-2008-3890 | 2 Amd, Freebsd | 2 Amd64, Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| The kernel in FreeBSD 6.3 through 7.0 on amd64 platforms can make an extra swapgs call after a General Protection Fault (GPF), which allows local users to gain privileges by triggering a GPF during the kernel's return from (1) an interrupt, (2) a trap, or (3) a system call. | ||||
| CVE-2008-0777 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| The sendfile system call in FreeBSD 5.5 through 7.0 does not check the access flags of the file descriptor used for sending a file, which allows local users to read the contents of write-only files. | ||||
| CVE-2007-4304 | 2 Cerb, Freebsd | 2 Cerbng, Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| CerbNG for FreeBSD 4.8 does not properly implement VM protection when attempting to prevent system call wrapper races, which allows local users to have an unknown impact related to an "incorrect write protection of pages". | ||||
| CVE-2007-0267 | 2 Apple, Freebsd | 2 Mac Os X, Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| The ufs_lookup function in the Mac OS X 10.4.8 and FreeBSD 6.1 kernels allows local users to cause a denial of service (kernel panic) and possibly corrupt other filesystems by mounting a crafted UNIX File System (UFS) DMG image that contains a corrupted directory entry (struct direct), related to the ufs_dirbad function. NOTE: a third party states that the FreeBSD issue does not cross privilege boundaries. | ||||
| CVE-2009-1041 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| The ktimer feature (sys/kern/kern_time.c) in FreeBSD 7.0, 7.1, and 7.2 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary kernel memory via an out-of-bounds timer value. | ||||
| CVE-2006-5482 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| ufs_vnops.c in FreeBSD 6.1 allows local users to cause an unspecified denial of service by calling the ftruncate function on a file type that is not VREG, VLNK or VDIR, which is not defined in POSIX. | ||||
| CVE-2009-2208 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| FreeBSD 6.3, 6.4, 7.1, and 7.2 does not enforce permissions on the SIOCSIFINFO_IN6 IOCTL, which allows local users to modify or disable IPv6 network interfaces, as demonstrated by modifying the MTU. | ||||
| CVE-2006-5680 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| The libarchive library in FreeBSD 6-STABLE after 2006-09-05 and before 2006-11-08 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via a malformed archive that causes libarchive to skip a region past the actual end of the archive, which triggers an infinite loop that attempts to read more data. | ||||
| CVE-2009-4146 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-04-23 | N/A |
| The _rtld function in the Run-Time Link-Editor (rtld) in libexec/rtld-elf/rtld.c in FreeBSD 7.1, 7.2, and 8.0 does not clear the LD_PRELOAD environment variable, which allows local users to gain privileges by executing a setuid or setguid program with a modified LD_PRELOAD variable containing an untrusted search path that points to a Trojan horse library, a different vector than CVE-2009-4147. | ||||
